City 6 Extramural Football Tournament Video

The City 6 is composed of Drexel University, LaSalle University, Saint Joseph's University, Temple University, University of Pennsylvania and Villanova University.

The City 6 Extramural Classic was founded in 1986 as a way to encourage recreational sports and social interaction among the city universities.

The first championship tournament was held that fall at the University of Penn's Franklin Field. The Philadelphia City 6 Extramural Classic is the nation's only association of college recreation departments offering undergraduate intramural teams from participating schools an opportunity to compete for a city championship each year! City championships are organized for flag football, volleyball, basketball and softball.

La Salle Campus Recreation and Tom Gola Arena have been chosen as the host site for the 2010 City 6 Basketball Championships.  Games will be played on all three courts in the Arena, starting at noon on Saturday, March 27, 2010.

La Salle's intramural teams have a rich tradition representing the annual City 6 Championships. Coming into the 2009-10 school year, La Salle has had 26 City 6 Champions:
