The NCAA has updated its Banned Drugs and Exceptions Policy regarding Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) for the 2009-2010 academic year. Please review the following information to ensure that all requirements are met. The La Salle University Athletic Training Department in the Hayman Center Athletic Training Room consists of four full-time and one part-time athletic trainers. All members of the athletic training staff are certified through the National Athletic Trainer's Association (NATA) and licensed through the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine. La Salle's athletic trainers work with team physicians, Student Health Services, and the counseling center to help oversee the health and well-being of all student-athletes. Through a partnership with the La Salle University Athletic Department, NovaCare Rehabilitation has become the "official provider" of rehabilitation for student-athletes at La Salle. NovaCare professionals provide additional support to the sports medicine staff, and are prepared to treat all types of athletic-related injuries. Physical therapy services are also provided through NovaCare on campus in the Hayman Center Athletic Training Room.
